Can this filter only be placed vertically?
AQQA internal aquarium filter can be placed vertically and horizontally. Tips: suggest immersing in minimum water level while using.
Is it noisy? Is the noise getting louder after using it for a long time?

Can it be used for the saltwater tank?
No. The AQQA fish filter doesn’t work for saltwater tanks.
Directions wasn’t very clear about the extra pieces it came with to use as extra bubbler. Easy to take apart to clean.its quiet and works ok for my 45 gallon tank, I have it up to water level so it doesn’t clean the bottom of the tank at all.
