Information about AQQA Upgraded Efficient Aquarium Filters
AQQA aquarium sponge filter is made of high-quality multiple layers filter sponge that actively adsorbs impurities, bacteria, and debris from the water. It easily achieves both oxygenation and filtration at the same time, keeping your tank in a healthy and stable water circulation at all times. Suitable for 5-30 gallon fish tanks.
Ultra Quiet and Energy-Saving
This aquarium filter is powered by air, making it silent and energy-saving. It maintains a comfortable habitat for your aquarium without disturbance.
Unique Anti-Floating Design
The bottom of the fish tank filter uses a high-quality iron base to ensure the product stably sinks in the water. The striped design of the filter sponge also increases the filtration area and enhances the filtration effect.
Easy to Use
Squeeze the sponge repeatedly until it is full of water to sink the filter on the bottom of the aquarium. Then, connect an air pump to use the filter. (Tips: The air pump and air hose are NOT INCLUDED; please choose the air pump according to the size of your aquarium.)
Package Included

It took a few minutes to realize after unpacking this that there were two sponge filters jammed on there, so be sure to separate them! It also doesn’t come with a tube or air pump, so those will need to be purchased separately of course. I did not realize this at the time, as I’m a newbie with aquarium set-up. Once working it does keep quiet, thankfully, and it was easy to install once I had the other components, but I am concerned about the replacement of the sponges once they are beyond repair. Also, if you have a smaller tank it does take up some space, so keep that in mind. I’d relegate it to a 10 gallon or more, any less and it takes up valuable real estate for your fish pals. It feels a little flimsy before installing it, but so far so good. Will update if anything out of the ordinary happens or it fails before a reasonable amount of time.
I have a 25g tank and I only left one sponge since it comes with two. Wow it collects a lot of dirt also super easy to install. It cleared my water by next day since it was a lil cloudy. I will buy again!
Aquarium water is clear first time ever. Worth every penny. Great filter.
I’m using this filter along with a regular filter and the noise level is very low. I was having trouble with nitrates in the water and this filter is helping to keep it under control. Definitely wish I had heard about this type of filter sooner!
I thought this was ugly but I realized the extra filter is on top the other one!!!
Once take it out it looks great and even works better!!! And¡. Drumroll please it¡¯s completely quiet!
