Simple and Quick Water Change
The turtle filter base box is equipped with a detachable drain plug. Before changing water, plug the water outlet. Then, remove the cover on the top of the filter and connect a hose to the top outlet (note: hose not included). Simply activate the filter to easily change the water.

Love that I can keep it on at night as it is silent. I have had others that are too Loud. Lovr the waterfall option for the turtle.
This filter system work well and it runs quiet
Nice filter but I do wish there was some kind of suction to keep it in place. I got this hoping it would work in my 5.5g fish tank but I ended up having to prop it up on a little flower pot so that the top is above the water. This is def not a filter you can submerge so pls keep that in mind when you are getting this and measure your tank (for fish or turtle).
I think this would be better for a terrarium with just a small water area vs an actual tank
I made my red footed tortoise a little water fall pond area in their indoor enclosure that’s about 4 inches deep, and needed a good reliable filter to cycle the water. I trust the aqqa brand for their quality, and the turtle tank filter didn’t disappoint. It’s perfect for my needs, because I also needed a waterfall/rainfall element in their pond. The rotating water outlet is perfect for this, so I was able to cover two bases with this turtle tank filter. It’s pretty quiet, and when the enclosure doors are closed, I can’t even hear it.
It comes ready to go with the filter media preinstalled. I appreciate the quick water change feature, although I don’t need to use it since I can easily change out the water because my water basin is small.
Glad I chose the smaller size, the larger one would have been much too strong. I have the output set at the lowest setting because my pond is very small and it created too much of a strong current so it was splashing around the enclosure. For the use I got this for, this filter is more than perfect.
Used this for a bearded water dragon habitat. It is quiet and works well. Make sure you don’t lose any parts as you put it together.
