We actually ended up putting this in our turtle aquarium as we needed something to move the water a little more with larger filters. For the size and the amount of water it moves, it’s pretty quiet and doesn’t disturb. It is not very durable, though, as after some time, we noticed the upper part started to climb, eventually separating from the bottom portion. The tank this is in is a 10-gallon tank, and it moves a good amount of water, it filters well, and has exceptional functionality.
I was very skeptical when making this purchase just because I’ve had my tanks for years but the last filter I purchased was for some reason extremely loud even if the water was a full tank level…. with this new filter my tank is still clean and it is so much quieter. Installing it was kinda simple the most difficult part was closing the containers that hold the little color balls I had to remove some
