Install the wave maker pump at the surface, middle, or bottom of your aquarium to achieve the suitable water flow
Surface Placement – Boosts oxygen and prevents surface film
Middle Placement – Ensures strong, even circulation across the tank
Bottom Placement – Reduces debris and keeps substrate clean

It’s working great in my pond. I had a dead spot and gunk was collecting in a spot just outside my filter reach and this is keeping everything moving and directed back to the filter intake.
Pretty simply, it works. It’s basically just like an underwater fan, and it does exactly what it’s intended to do. Materials seem decent enough and I’m quite happy with the adjustability in terms of placement and tank and angling of the wave maker the wave maker itself.
One cool feature is the suspension system that prevents vibrations from going through the glass and being too noisy. So it’s very quiet! Pretty much inaudible compared to my regular pump.
It comes apart pretty easy to clean , just a couple of tabs on the side and that cover comes out as well as the impeller.
While there is a shutter to adjust the flow, it honestly doesn’t do all that much. It feels very similar with it open versus closed.
I will say that the amount of flow is not overwhelming, but that’s a good thing for the most part. Unless you have some really strong swimming fish , too much agitation could be bad for them , so this is just the right amount to make sure there is adequate water flow and surface turbulence for good gas exchange to oxygenate the water. I have this setup in my 55 gallon tank.
Especially for the price, I’m happy with it.
I have a 75 gallon fish tank that houses my 22-year-old red eared slider. We needed something to keep the flow of the water moving as it started to begin to form that oily film at the top of the water line despite having a super high efficiency and high output filter.
I tried a wave maker previously from a different name brand and was really disappointed as it broke within the first day. I was reluctant to try another type but I decided to give this a try as it looked better suited for my needs.
I can definitely verify that the durability is there. My red eared slider is very frisky and likes to investigate everything. She investigated the wave maker for approximally 5 minutes, she loved the way it felt with the flow of water running across her, she actually closed her eyes and floated in front of it for several minutes. At that point she let it be. She has not messed with it since. But she still goes about 6 in from it and wedges herself between her aquascape and the wave maker flow and falls asleep every night since I put it in. I’m thinking that it’s like a little spa for her.
The overall quality, in my opinion, is a premium made product. This wave maker functions absolutely perfect and it’s been running now for several weeks. So I would say it’s functionality is on par.
The value for the money is definitely there because this is built as a purpose specific duty.
The flow rate has two different options. The first being a straight jet of water being pushed by the propeller. The second mode you can get to just by sliding this small piece of blue plastic in the opposite direction it’s at. This opens the back of the propellers intake and slows down the jet of water making it more of a conical jet instead of a cylindrical jet, if that makes sense.
For my needs specifically, I have it on the conical setting where it sucks in the water from the back of the propeller and throws it out the front in a conical shape. This not only keeps the water moving throughout the entire tank but also breaks the surface tension which then allows the filter to filter out oily top layer that forms when you have stagnant water.
I can’t speak more highly of this wave maker as this is absolutely perfect for my needs. The magnet is super strong. I have a pretty thick tempered glass tank walls and it has no problem sticking firmly to the magnet that’s placed outside of us tank. It doesn’t budge even when the turtle knocks into it.
I am so impressed by the way this wave maker is engineered. It actually has its own four-point shock absorbing disc system. There’s four rubber feet that fit through a disc that leads to the ball joint that allows you to position the jet. This ensures that If at any time it becomes harmonically unstable, it will be able to handle it because the rubber feet will flex to accommodate what the propeller is trying to do. It also helps when the turtle accidentally knocks into it.
Overall, my experience has been absolutely outstanding and I am very glad I got this as I was losing hope that I would find one that’s durable enough to withstand an adult 22-Year-Old red eared slider.
I can with complete and absolute confidence recommend this to anybody looking for a very powerful wave maker and water circulator for a larger tank. This wave maker is so powerful, I don’t think I would recommend anything less than a 75 gallon tank.
I am going to be getting another one of these in a smaller wattage and flow rate for my shrimp breeding tank that is 55 gallons. This manufacturer has definitely earned repeat business from me.
I would not hesitate to pick this up when you can if it fits your needs. Quality like this is hard to find nowadays.
I’m using this in an 80 gal tank as a 2nd wave maker to help create more of a circular flow. I was having issues with too much detritus collecting on the tank bottom despite having the filter outlet and my original wave maker set correctly to create the needed flow. I currently have a Sicce 12 watt and it does a good job but the tank is so long I’m just not getting good enough circulation.
This wave maker is helping to keep the water flowing in the motion I need it to. It has a strong magnet and is quiet. It’s not as heartily made as I would like because the plastic on the housing is kind of thin. For the price though, I do think this item is worth it. It does as fine a job as the Sicce and is a lot less expensive.
This is my second one from this brand. The first one lasted 3 months before quitting. I have a fluval that’s 1 year old but was twice as much.
