Inofrmation about AQQA Aquarium Wavemaker: Quiet & Powerful

Simulate natural water currents and improve oxygenation with this quiet, energy-efficient wavemaker. Ideal for 20–75 gallon freshwater tanks, it promotes healthier fish, stronger plants, and a stable aquatic environment.

Enhance Water Circulation & Oxygenation

The AQQA wavemaker replicates natural river and stream currents, ensuring your tank water moves continuously. This improves oxygen exchange, helps prevent algae buildup, and reduces dead zones where debris can accumulate. Healthier circulation supports fish activity, enhances plant growth, and stabilizes water chemistry for long-term tank success.

360° Flexible Rotation & Dual Flow Modes

With full 360° rotation, this wavemaker can be positioned to direct water flow anywhere in your aquarium, eliminating stagnant spots. Switch between dispersed flow to gently move water across the tank or concentrated flow for stronger currents that challenge active fish, improving their strength and overall well-being.

Powerful, Quiet Operation

Despite its compact size, the 1200GPH pump delivers robust and consistent water movement. Operating at just 5W, it runs whisper-quiet, so your fish remain stress-free. This efficiency also lowers your energy costs while maintaining excellent water circulation that supports healthy fish and plants.

Easy Installation with Suction Cup Base

The wavemaker comes with a strong, adjustable suction cup mount for secure attachment to any aquarium glass. Its flexible positioning allows quick installation and hassle-free adjustments, letting you customize water flow directions without tools or stress. Perfect for beginners or seasoned aquarists.

Versatile for Various Aquarium Sizes

Available in 5W (1200GPH) for 20–75 gallon tanks and 12W (2110GPH) for larger 80–150 gallon tanks, the AQQA wavemaker is adaptable to a wide range of freshwater aquariums. This ensures optimal water circulation regardless of tank size, keeping your aquatic ecosystem balanced and thriving.

  1. Great quality aquarium wave maker, extremely quiet and a great value for the cost . Adds I nice current to the water. We picked this up to help filter our turtle tank and keep food or waste fragments from settling at the bottom of the tank. Great product quality. I would highly recommend for its power and very low noise level. which is extremely helpful. I purchased this for our upgraded larger tank that where getting but had to test it on this smaller one. It also doesn’t take up too much tank space. Which is another plus.

  2. I am really happy with this wave maker. I have it set up to just move some of the warm water away from my heater in my 100+ gallon tank. It has been helping move the warm water around and provides a bit of water circulation and aeration for the fish. This is really quiet and the fish seem to be doing great with this addition. It has a nice suction base, so you don’t need to worry about fishing it off the bottom after a few days.

  3. I want to give this 5 stars. The only reason I’m not is because the suction cup is really not very strong. Maybe I’m installing it incorrectly but I don’t think so. It’s pretty straight forward installation. On that note though, it is quiet. It does create substantial waves and has three different flow settings using the the little toggle switch on the top of it. It is a bit bulky, especially for a smaller tank (mine is 30g and it still looks bulky). Other than the suction cup, it seems decent quality

  4. This little pump is quite the current generator. It’s marketed for a 75-150 gallon tank but I really feel like that’s under selling it. This would be more than enough for a 200 gallon tank in my opinion. I use this in a 90 and I have to direct the current up at a steep angle to expend most of its energy disrupting the waters surface. This keeps my plants from getting too much current. My fish love the bits of current though. I have Discus and Rasbora in the tank and they love the current that this provides.
