It is very useful when changing water and back and forth. Vaccum wise, I would still go with electric vaccuum coz this one doesn’t do the job in gravel cleaning efficiently.
This is a very nice addition to my tank cleaning routine. It is very diverse as it has different attachments to clean not just the gravel, but the stuff in the tank as well. The hose is nice and long so you dont have to worry about if its going to fall out of the bucket and make a mess all over your floor.
I have 3 tanks all over 55 gallons and this makes water changes and maintenance a breeze! Just pump the trigger until the water flows into the bucket. When the bucket is full twist the knob to shut it off. Put new bucket in place open knob and water fills new empty bucket. I then go dump the wastewater bucket and repeat until I’m done. I usually do 20% on all 3 tanks every other weekend. This thing has knocked off about 30 minutes to my water changes. Not to mention the cleaning of rocks, and driftwood in the tank as well.
It is pretty solid, and everything snaps together easily, this makes it convenient, as well as very easy to clean! All in all, a very good product to have in your tank cleaning arsenal. The only thing I did not like about it was the bucket attachment for the hose. It does not hold the hose very well and the hose kept popping out of the attachment. I just dont use it, and instead I use a spring clamp to hold the hose in the bucket…problem solved.
