This fish tank light simulates the original natural ecology, the 24/7 mode simulates the changing light of sunrise and sunset, providing aquatic creatures with an environment closer to natural light for better growth and reproduction. The lights can be set to turn on at 6:00 AM or 8:00 AM. They reach maximum brightness at 12:00 PM and turn off at 10:00 PM

This feels solid and well made and like a good value for the money. I am excited to have my husband set this up and see if he likes basking under this even more than the light he has now.
I have to ask my husband if this is different then his basking light in lieu of his basking light or in addition to! Turtles are awesome!
