I have a 30 year old Red Eared Slider (aquatic turtle) and was hoping this would handle the larger pellet food he eats. It jams frequently. I’m sure this works great for regular fish food, but it you are needing it for larger food, look elsewhere.

Battery (2 AA not included) operated trap door. Easy to setup and use. Tested with goldfish flakes and works well, but feels pellets would work better for this types of feeder as larger flakes may get stuck or prevent dispense smaller flakes. Power button can be used as manual feed as pressing it once would open the trap door. Amount can be adjusted via a sliding door.

I absolutely love this automatic fish feeder. It does require two AA batteries. There¡¯s a clamp that you tighten to secure to the side of your fish tank, a dial on the side to adjust the amount of food dispensed and a timer for how often to dispense the food- 8h 12h 24h and 48h. Read the instruction pamphlet, I ended up scooping a bunch of food out because I didn¡¯t read how to adjust the amount dispensed and had it opened WAY too much. I highly recommend this if you have amnesia like I do and forget that you even have fish most day ?? 10/10!

I ordered this so that I don’t over feed my fish. This is the perfect alternative and I do not have to worry about it anymore. Nice product and we will see if it helps change water less.

This fish feeder works wonderfully! It requires just 2 AA batteries (not included) and is easy to install on the fish tank. Setting the feeding intervals is straightforward, with options for 8, 12, 24, or 48 hours.
The only minor hassle is adjusting the amount of food dispensed. The feeder has a double-layer design: the upper layer¡¯s portion is controlled by a side knob, while the lower layer automatically opens during feeding. While adjusting the knob to get the perfect amount can be a bit fiddly, it¡¯s a small issue. Overall, this feeder is reliable and works great!

I bought this to ensure that my fish are fed during the weekdays when I am busy with work. It’s easy to assemble and intervals can be set so you can ensure that they are not being fed too frequently. After using it for a while, I found that it works best with smaller and solid food like pellets. However, flakes do work as well but I would cut them smaller to ensure even dispensing.
Pros:
– Easy to Assemble and Program
– Consistent Dispensing
– Convenient for Busy Schedules or When Away From Home
Cons:
– Less Ideal for Large Flakes but still works if you do

I own another automatic fish feeder with a digital display and it works great but it’s difficult to get the amount of food regulated. This feeder is far simpler and I feel like it’s more effective. There is a manual dial to regulate the food opening, and you can the door move so you see how big the opening is. I’m also able to get the food to drop in the same spot each time so I can use a feeding ring more effectively.
I like to feed my fish twice a day, and I’m able to program the timer to drop food every 12 hours and it’s simple to program, I don’t have to read the manual to understand it. I’ll probably still feed Snape manually because I like to interact with him (which is also possible with this feeder), but if I go on vacation I won’t have to dirty the tank up with a vacation pellet, or worry that my pet sitter will forget about my fish.

I got this feeder for my shrimp tank since I¡¯m often out of town for work for 1-2 weeks at a time. It¡¯s been a viable solution for automating feedings while I¡¯m away, but it does take some tweaking to get the portions right. Even with the adjustable food outlet, I¡¯ve noticed it tends to dispense a bit more food than I¡¯d like for my shrimp. I¡¯m still fine-tuning it to find the perfect balance.
The setup was super easy, and it¡¯s great to have peace of mind knowing my shrimp are being fed consistently while I¡¯m gone. The 250ml container holds plenty of food, so I don¡¯t have to worry about refilling the food reservoir for months. My only complaint is that dialing in the right amount of food can be tricky, especially with smaller tanks or sensitive creatures like shrimp.
Overall, it¡¯s a convenient feeder, but you¡¯ll need to invest some time in adjusting it to avoid overfeeding. If you¡¯re frequently away like me, it¡¯s definitely worth having.

I purchased this for a friend of mine and helped him set it up, not that he needed it as the installation and set up process was very simple – just one button to switch between manual and auto feeding modes. He particularly appreciate the adjustable food outlet since it lets him fine-tune the portion sizes for his different types of fish food as he has a few different species in his tank. The 250ml capacity is more than enough for his weekend-long trips, and the four timer settings gives him plenty of flexibility for different feeding schedules.
My friend keeps ranting on about is its reliability. He has been using it for three months now, and it hasn’t missed a single feeding. The food-grade ABS material gives me peace of mind about my fish’s health, and he hasn¡¯t had any issues with moisture getting into the food container. The 24/7 customer service is a nice bonus, though he hasn¡¯t needed to use it yet. Whether you’re going away for a weekend or just want to automate your daily feedings, this device is definitely worth the investment.
