I bought 2 of these 36 inch lights to go over my 6 foot, 125 gallon aquarium. They are a great value. They are bright. Unfortunately, just outside the return window, 1 works well still and the other light started flickering, but settling to be on for a few weeks. Now it does not work in the full spectrum settings, only the white light setting. I have been using these since mid January, 2022. The one light started being faulty in April 2022. They also seem to be fussy about which of the 3 settings they are on. I can’t really find a consistent pattern to get them to cycle through the settings, even on the light that does work. *EDIT AQQA replaced my intermittent light with no questions asked. Very prompt and courteous service.

Editing my review and changing from 1 star to 5. My light was replaced quickly with great customer service and has been working ever since. I¡¯m actually buying another now for a second tank.
This light seemed great at first. Actually it worked TOO well. It was really bright. Then a couple days ago it just stopped working. Now it¡¯s just a regular white light, not the full spectrum. It was delivered November 3, 2022. I didn¡¯t even get 3 months out of it.

So dumb of a design that it doesn’t matter how good the lighting is. Every time you turn these off, and back on, they change settings. So you can’t get consistent lighting with a normal light timer, which for me makes them ridiculous and useless! Edit (hold on, there is a fix)
The other downside is the voltage transformer is built into the control switch. So WHEN the transformer goes bad (and they all do in time) you can’t just replace and or upgrade the transformer. Also the controller/transformer gets hotter than most, and in my experience with hundreds of LED lights it makes me question it’s durability and it’s ability to last. but the price is so good…
The Pros
The Color rendition is great! Better than a lot of very expensive lights. 2 out of the 3 setting are VERY VERY GOOD. The best of any budget Aquarium LED I’ve ever seen. (personally I think the green LED’s don’t help much and they seem to wash out some of the more eye pleasing colors. I will block the greens in some tanks with some electrical tape on the outer lens cover)
Lighting intensity is also very good. I’m sure like most cheap LED’s these will dim some with time because the fixture gets hot and heat tends to be hard on LED’s. These find of things to be expected with cheaper lighting so not a big deal.
Conclusion If they remembered the last setting I would have giving them 5 stars for the price. Edit; I change the rating to 5 stars because the fix.
THE FIX!
For not remembering sittings.
Get a advance digital timer. (I use the BN-LINK 7 Day Heavy Duty Digital Programmable Timer)
Sync the light setting. It will requires some math. The right timer can be programed to cycle on your lights 3 times within three minutes. So that way, you get the same lighting every day. You can also cycle for desired different lighting throughout the day.
So with the right timer it makes it a 5 STAR low price lighting system.

As I¡¯ve heard from others, the only thing I don¡¯t like about this light is where it¡¯s located. Close to plug into wall so I have to bend down each time to turn on and off. Everything else is good about it
