  10. Kindle Customer

Really brings out the colors of my fish.

  11. PhotoGal

I’ve been using this light in my aquarium for a while now and I really like the reliability of the timer coming on and off. I mainly use the whitest light although the kids like the setting with more blue. I’m guessing the red tint would help for fish that are not used to quite as much light, but I wouldn’t know, we don’t use that setting. So far so good, and with LEDs no extra heat.

  12. Randy James Rieck

I would like just bright white light. I am using one light as a backup for my 30 gallon planted tank fluorescent light. The other light is going to be used for a backup for my 55 gallon planted tank.

  13. Madison

The fish residence is now properly illuminated!

  14. River Bennett

Gotten a day early and it didn¡¯t disappoint! Excellent lighting!!

  15. Jaime hernandez

Good product but expect to be brighter

  16. T2000KW

lots of useful little tricks, a good strong light my plants seem to like.

  17. Sue C

Apps can be too much. Aquarium lights are set and forget. This has 10 brightness, timed cycles, also the gradual changing over the day option , and colors. All the great options SUPER EASY TO SET. Just an awesome light. I have lots of tanks, tried tons of lights, this is my favorite I’ve ever used.

  18. Bridget

Was nervous getting this for my 20 gallon long due to being unsure of size. This product did not disappoint, the settings are easy to use and understand; the light is adjustable in brightness and color. This is great for a 20 long or smaller.

  19. RealDave

If you keep sensitive species like shrimp, a 24/7 light such as this is useful so that you don’t startle them and they can demonstrate more natural behavior (feeding at dusk and dawn). I only use 24/7 lights now and what I look for is ease of use and how good the colors are. I don’t much care for lights with numerous settings or garish morning orange or bright blue nighttime colors. Thankfully, this doesn’t have either of those issues. The 24/7 mode is easy to set and the colors are natural to the extent possible. Minor quip is that the label font size is too small for these old eyes to see but that’s on me. Aqqa is a good brand and these lights are well priced so highly recommended. Only thing to be aware, is like most 24/7 lights these only go max brightness around noon time. So if you have a heavily planted tank you may need more than one strip otherwise you will get a decrease in the overall amount of the light the plants receive.

  20. Emily

This aquarium light is very customizable, with four different colors, five brightness settings, and a 24/7 natural mode which most aquarium hobbyists love. The light is very thin, which I am happy about.

It is very easy to set up, and the instructions for the settings are very clear. I would say this is a very high quality aquarium light.

Edit: I had been using my Alexa smart device to control the timer for this since I already had another light set up this way. But when I tried to set up the timer through the light, I found it did not work! I set the timer for 6 hours and it was on from 7 am to 9 pm. Very unfortunate.

  21. Catherine

Sets up easily, is bright, and fits where I need it to. No complaints here.

  22. ShadowJacker

This light is really well built and has a lot of programable options and colors. The full spectrum setting illuminates every led on the board as you can see in the picture which may or may not be beneficial to plant growth. Normally you wouldn’t have pink and green in a full spectrum light so im not sure how that will affect development although I can say that the overall appearance of the full spectrum light it produces looks fantastic. The optional rgb color options aren’t my thing but they work just as they should and are fully dimmable as well. Not to shabby overall

  23. Nicole A. Ferrari

Works great. Just what I was looking for. Good price.

  24. Koritonics

Very nice, can get really bright! Lots of settings, colors, brightness levels

  25. J. Yung

This tank light is a great value for $20. The manual is fairly well written. For the 14 watt version that I have, it is efficient and the timer works great (I have it set to run 8 hours a day). The technical options for the timer, brightness, etc.. are excellent. My tank now looks great with this light and my live plants will appreciate the additional light during the winter months. Overall, from packaging, to manual, to the build quality, this seems like a quality product.

  26. Brock Samson

I’m quite impressed with this light. The white color is just how I like it for my tanks and the other color options are fun to play with.

Like others of it’s design, the timer and controls are a bit wonky to figure out. There’s like four buttons to control a dozen or two functions so a little tricky but definitely works. Good value for the money.

  27. Juan Daniel Martinez

Excelente producto en comparaci¨®n con su calidad-precio, lo ¨²nico que no me convence es que la potencia no es muy alta sin embargo es justa para plantas de bajo requerimientos.

I have parrots and lovebirds and they benefit health wise from full spectrum light. Until this point I have provided this through fluorescent “reptile bulbs” in fixtures zip tied to the back of the cages. That is until I found these led lights. The adjustable brackets on the back make mounting them to the cages very easy compared to the bulky fluorescent fixtures. There is a bit of a learning curve to programming it but there are quite a few scenarios to choose from. I do wish you could adjust the length of the day in 24/7 mode as I like my birds to have 12 hours of “night time”. But I have been able to accomplish almost the same scenario using the timer mode. That’s another thing I love about these lights! Most of my cages still have fluorescent fixtures hooked up to bulky and noisy mechanical timers. The programming ability of these fixtures make the mechanical timers obsolete. I will soon have these fixtures on all my cages!

  29. Scrimshaw

This is a good aquarium light. It¡¯s ¡°bright enough¡± but not super bright. However, it does have a wide range of adjustability, especially for tweaking in exactly the color balance you want between RGB. It has a memory function (as it should) so you can use it with a standard outlet timer. So, far, so good. . . it¡¯s a good light in the standard sort of way. I have the 32-36 inch version, which is only 24W. I really wish this came in a 36W version at this size. Then it would be nice and bright for its size. Also, it¡¯s ultra thin too, only about 8 mm thick.

If you want to use the built in timing functions, it¡¯s more versatile than a typical light without timers, but not as good as a fully programmable timer. You can adjust for a fixed 6, 8 , or 12 hour on/off timer, or you can use the 24 hour dawn-to-dusk mode. This mode is kind of cool, if it¡¯s the ONLY light on your aquarium. It gradually gets brighter in the morning, brightest at noon, and dimmer toward the evening, over 12 hours, duplicating sunrise, mid-day, and sunset. You can only set the time to within the closest 1 hour increment. I actually don¡¯t find the timer as easy to use as some other reviewers, and it took a good amount of reading the manual and fiddling with it to figure it out. I must admit, I don¡¯t use the light in the dawn-to-dusk mode, because I have other lights on my aquarium (I like super bright!) that are set with traditional outlet timers, so it sort of nullifies this effect.

As long as you know what you¡¯re getting (e.g. some extra timer functions, regular brightness), then this is 5 stars. The price is quite good too, considering I have similar lights that were 3 times this cost for about the same brightness.

  30. Jubilantone

I purchased this to assist my non-aquatic plants. One would think a greenhouse room would be ideal for an indoor garden, but the tinting on the windows results in spindly growth. I’m using this to supply a broader spectrum for my seedlings and houseplants. I like the unobtrusive lines of this product and love the 24/7 setting. My plants look very attractive in this lighting as well.

  31. Amzn User

I got this light for my 20 gal aquarium and it fits good. The lights can be controlled and can use in multiple way. The full spectrum is my fav and it lits all the lights and its nice bright. There are RGB options and timer as well. I tested the timer for 4 hrs and it works fine.
Overall good value for money product.

I am using the AQQA 24/7 Fish Tank LED Light with my existing LED lights on my 175-gallon saltwater fish tank. The light is well constructed. I like that you can adjust the color and brightness of the light. I love the 24/7 Natural Mode. I have my old lights plugged into a timer. It is nice that this light has a timer built into it. This is an impressive light at a great price.

  33. R Neil

Generally, I like this light. No complaints about quality of construction or choice of materials. The light spectrum choices are idea, giving me just the color temp I like. And the lamp looks good installed.

And I like the sunrise fade up/sunset fade down concept. But not a fan of how it is implemented, with limited control over it. Why not just either put a truly programmable customized hours on and off function? As it is, the only way to set this up means the lights are on are either 6 hours, 8 hours, then a jump to 12 hours. And also locked into a 1 hour fade up and down sunrise/sunset.

Maybe it is too much to ask. Meanwhile, I’ve decided to put this back onto my mechanical timer. Fortunately it remembers the moodlight mode I shift to late in the evening when it comes back on the next morning. But I then have to shift it to daylight later, and back too moonlight each evening. I’m not sure which is worse: this, or their auto timer that lacks better control. But I think I will stick with this.

Bottom line: excellent light in every aspect except the auto timer, which seems like it could be improved. I have a plant light that can be programmed in details, so why not this light?

  34. Cara Clapsaddle

This is definitely a high-quality aquarium light. It is very sleek. It has a very streamlined design and it is easy to install. Traders cash it has a very extensive lighting options. You can set it to have multiple single colors or you can set it to display a full spectrum of lights. The remote functions are extensive, and it allows you to choose from several different levels of brightness as well. I really like this aquarium light and would recommend anyone, who is looking for a real high-quality aquarium light at a great price to purchase this light. We will not be disappointed.

This Light for Plants is a fantastic choice for aquarium enthusiasts looking to create an optimal environment for both fish and live plants. The customizable lighting, full spectrum illumination, and energy efficiency make it a standout option in the market.

    Pros:

Full Spectrum Lighting: The LED light provides a full spectrum of light, catering to the specific needs of aquarium plants. This is crucial for supporting photosynthesis and promoting healthy plant growth.
Energy-Efficient: LED technology is generally energy-efficient, consuming less electricity compared to traditional lighting options. This is advantageous for maintaining a sustainable and cost-effective aquarium setup.
Enhanced Visibility: The bright and clear illumination enhances the visibility of the aquarium inhabitants and decorations. It allows for a better appreciation of the colors and activities within the tank.
Durable Build: Many LED lights are designed to be durable and water-resistant, ensuring longevity even in the humid environment of a fish tank. This durability adds to the overall reliability of the lighting system.

    Cons:
    Complex Programming

Its large at 48-54 inch. Fits my tank perfectly. It has a nice brightness and my plants are loving it.

  37. Shaw Droker

Looks very high tech, and lights the tank well.

  38. J. White

So…Many…Buttons! So, this light has a smorgasbord of features which makes it not only a good tank light, but also a good grow light for a small planter. I love the 24 hour mode for my Betta tank! We are attempting to turn the tank into a natural filter type system and the quality of the light is awesome for all of the plants and algae in it. We have been using it for a few weeks and noticably have the aquatic plants in our tank began to thrive. The light is even bright enough that the anubias still thrive when some of the giant duckweed huddle up over it. I’m not sure if the spectral analysis of it, but my aquatic plants love it, for sure!

I ordered this to fit my 55-gallon aquarium that is 48″ wide. They say it expands from 39″ to 48″. I could not expand it over 46.5 inches before the expansion rods came out. Therefore, it has to sit on the glass. My aquarium is exactly 48.125 inches at the top, edge to edge (outer edge of the plastic). Also, one of the expansion rods is warped. It will take some twisting and bending by trial and error to get it to lay flat on the glass. They need to make the expansion rods about 1 inch longer and it would fit.

The operation of the light is impressive. The instructions are good, but the process is a little complex. You should keep the instructions handy, unless you have a photographic memory. I found that the modes worked as indicated. I have not timed the timers but like how they automatically restart each day at the same time that you set them.

Overall, it is a good light, just be sure to measure your tank, if it is close, you might consider the next size up. The quality control could have been better with the extension rods but I can straighten the rods, I just shouldn’t have to. And they should have put rods in that expand to 48 inches.

I got this plant light, not for an aquarium, but for my herb garden that stretches along a window sill. During the winter, in Minnesota, there just isn’t enough light to keep the plants healthy.

This light, so far, is doing a very good job. It’s long enough, bright enough, and the light spreads out well. The build quality is more substantial than I thought it would be, so that was a pleasant surprise.

I imagine this would work just as well for aquariums, but if you need a regular plant light, this is a good one to get.

  41. SHELLV55

Love the color of the tank with mixed lights, but mainly with the white leds. Can change the the colors if you want blue, red, etc, and can pick your time choices. A little tricky, but not too hard to figure out with the instructions! Got it for my Freshwater tank, but getting one for my Saltwater too! 3 timer settings!

  42. Lizbeth

La l¨¢mpara est¨¢ bastante buena desafortunadamente no ten¨ªan el tama?o m¨¢s grande y qued¨® un poco peque?a pero lo pude solucionar

La calidad est¨¢ muy bien y las luces iluminan bastante

  43. Amazon Customer

Nice bright light for my 5 gallon planted shrimp tank. The directions are a little confusing, the unit works differently than the instructions say, so I had to fumble around to figure it out. The 24 hour automatic feature is cool, but it provides slightly too much light for my set-up and I get algae. I wish you could change the time to be slightly shorter. I haven’t figured out how to get the 6, 8, and 10 hour function to work yet, for some reason they never get to full brightness, so I just use the 24 hour cycle. It’s neat to see the dawn light come on and the moonlight phase in the evening. The shrimp go into a flurry of activity at dusk, just like they would in nature.

  44. Brenda L.

This light has many different lighting levels and colors. Easy to use, adjust and turn on and off. It lights our aquarium beautifully

  45. boyzmom

Can’t speak to the longevity of the item, but out of the box it is terrific. Seems sturdy on the tank, well built, leds all function properly. Comes with a manual with all the info you need to decipher the controller, though you could probably figure it out by expirementing for a few minutes. Made all the colors in the tank stand out so much better than my old light, and will definitely help my plant growth. Big fan

  46. Cass

Works great on my 55gal tank. I love the brightness settings. Haven’t messed with the custom settings tho. Would recommend to anyone wanting a cheaper but quality light

  47. KM

I would have given those 5 stars, but the remote control is a little complicated. Otherwise, very bright, dimmable, and you can set a timer. I worry a little about knocking it into the water accidentally bec it kind of just sits across the top but I’m being careful. Pleased with this light overall.

  48. Clint Walker

These lights are hands down the best and most affordable in my opinion. Adjustable brightness easy instal, comes with timer options, adjustable colors, etc. performance of these can¡¯t be beat.

  49. Daizey 74

Good for the price it is a great light

  50. Valerie Love

Love this light! I don’t have to remember to do anything with it. Set it and forget it! I have to trim my plant because it grows so well with the light.

  51. John H.

I had a different LED fixture over my planted aquarium that burned out in under a year. I’ve had this one on a timer for almost a year and so far, it’s still going strong, and the plants are growing nicely.

  52. GR80

    Works great

  53. Kindle Customer

Simulates full day of light from dawn, midday. Sunset and evening. No need to manually turn on and off.
