  2. This tank heater is easy to use. The protective cover is easy to remove so you can clean the heating rod. I have very hard water so build up happens frequently. It has been great in my 10 gallon. It¡¯s not running constantly and it¡¯s not boiling the fish. I have it near the outflow of the filter and it¡¯s been doing a great job. The $20 price point is perfectly fair. I¡¯ve had a few different aquarium accessories from this brand and the have all been great, this one did not disappoint.

  4. I’ve been a fishkeeper for over 30 years so I have used a lot of different heaters in that time. This style of heater is the newest trend in heater design. Many companies have added their own unique controller and outer case design. This controller is smaller and harder to use than others. The digital readout is legible, but not as informative as others on the market. It has a single button for setting the desired temp and is a bit confusing at first. The outer case is not as well designed as others on the market. It is tight around the heating element that I feel water flow will be blocked more than I prefer. I have the 150W in a 20 gallon tank. My house is a bit drafty and on the chilly side in the winter. This heater has been doing ok at maintaining a 78 degree temperature in my tank, but I had to increase the water flow past the heater.

  5. This is a good heater for my aquarium. It maintains consistent temperature and my fish are happy.
