What led me to rate this 4 stars over 3 was due to the price. For $20, this is decent tool with 6 different attachments. The attachments themselves are good quality and serve a variety of purposes. My main issue with this was the spring loaded system that is tricky to get right. Multiple times the attachments sprung off and had to be fished out of the tank which was a pain if it landed in the wrong spot. I also wished that the net was smaller in size. It is a handy tool to have, and if you get the attachment in correctly it is a good set for aquariums.
These fish tank cleaning tools are great for larger tanks, but my tank is only 2 gallons, so I don¡¯t need to use the extension feature. The set includes six cleaning heads, including a fish net, which I find very handy. Even though my tank is small, I still need all the tools to properly clean it.
This is my first time caring for a fish (a betta), so cleaning the tank has been a learning experience. It¡¯s not as easy as I expected¡ªI initially thought I could just scrub it with my hands, but I quickly realized that¡¯s not ideal. All the tools in the set are useful, but it takes some time to get used to handling them. Overall, I would recommend this cleaning tools for your fish tank.
My daughter has a small 10-gallon tank with some GloFish tetras. We kept the setup pretty simple and do regular water changes. But since we got some algae in the tank, it has been a real headache to maintain and eliminate — especially on the glass. Granted, we are not really ‘fish people’, so we aren’t that educated about it all (although we try). But the scraper and the sponge has been especially helpful, as has the plant fork. We have struggled with being able to clean the sides of the tank. With this tool, we are able to pull the rock aside and scrub below the line and really clean it out. We’ve not had to use the scrubber or the scraper, really, but it’s good to have just in case.
For the price, this is a nice and fairly complete set of tools. The construction seems fine — nothing felt flimsy to me. But for a 10-gal tank it might be somewhat on the big side. I think this would be perfect for a 20-gallon tank, to be honest. But it does help a LOT in terms of keeping your tank clean! Recommended!
I realize this is basically sold to residential clients, but it can also be by the pros.
This is a great setup for larger tanks, mine is a 55 gal and 20″ deep. This setup’s perfect and keeps me from putting my scuba gear on to clean my tank. It has a long lightweight extension wand which works perfectly. Secure accessory system makes this a unit for the pros. The only thing I caution you on is the scraper blade; not that it will cut you, but make sure you file off any rough edges so it doesn’t scratch the glass. I like it a lot and hope to get many years out of it!
