Information about AQQA Multi-functional Hang-On-Back Aquarium Filter
This hang-on-back aquarium filter by AQQA is a multi-functional filter that imitates a waterfall ecosystem. It is designed to beautify your tank while providing filtration, water circulation, and oxygenation. The filter is suitable for fish tanks of various sizes.
Excellent Filtration Performance
The filter cartridge is made of high-quality cotton, activated carbon, and built-in bio-nets. This effectively removes odors and discoloration and promotes plant growth to maintain a healthy aquatic environment. It is recommended to clean the filter every two weeks to ensure maximum performance.
Ultra-Quiet Operation
This aquarium filter operates quietly (under 30 decibels) and comes with a flow-regulating valve that maintains a gentle and even water flow. This provides a comfortable habitat for your aquarium without disruption.
Automatic Skimmer for Surface Cleaning
The filter includes an automatic skimmer that effectively removes oil and debris from the water’s surface, keeping the water clean. To ensure it rotates automatically, the skimmer must be installed perpendicular to the water’s surface.
Transparent Design
The filter is made of transparent ABS material, allowing you to see the entire filtration process and easily clean or replace the filter cotton as needed.
Product Accessory Introduction
Works ??
It’s an okay little filter for beginner fish keepers to understand the filtration system and the function of a surface oil skimmer. However, it’s nowhere near a particularly good product. It’s easy and simple to use, but a little flimsy.
The suction power is on the weaker side, and the noise level is on the higher side. That’s typical for a hang-on filter: it vibrates against the glass, and the water spill causes splashing and noise. It’s a starter filter for new hobbyists.
Very easy to install, very quiet and works great on my 20 gallon tank.
I really liked this filter, to my surprise. Normally I stay away from ones that require cartridge refills. However, this one is quite nice, particularly for the price. It’s slim and compact, making it great for a tank pressed closed to a wall or otherwise with little space. It’s easy to set up and add the media to, easy to get started, and very quiet. It proved too strong on my 4 gal shrimp tank even turned down all the way, but something in similar size that likes medium-high flow or a tank 8-10 gallons would be perfect for this.
This seems to clear the tank water like the last filter. It functions similarly without too much pull on the intake. It is louder than my last filter. It isn’t too bad, but I would prefer a quieter one.
