I was looking for a slim heater to have on the narrow end of a tank or potentially across the bottom, and this one looked like it would fit the bill. It heats up my 55gal very quickly, with water circulating via a separate filter/pump.
The common internet wisdom is to use several small heaters instead of one large heater, because if one of the temperature sensors goes bad you’ll have more time to find out before your fish get cooked. Since this one is a bit oversized for my 55 gallon tank, I’m going to try and find a power strip that can be turned off via a seperate temperature sensor, as a backup.

Great size, heats up really fast and perfectly for the animals. It reads really great and stays accurate to the right temperate. Very to install and use.
Set up a new 60g and this thing brought the water from 66¡ãF to 78¡ãF in about 15 minutes. The controls were so intuitive and clear that I didn’t even need to look at the instructions and the guard casing helps put my mind at ease while also making it feel extra durable for using with my delicate flowerhorn. The price is up there compared to some heaters but you definitely get what you pay for and you’re paying for quality. It hasn’t been up long but so far I am exceedingly happy with it’s functionality.
