I purchased this air pump specifically in case of a power outage. I have two 10 gallon aquariums. One saltwater, one fresh. I like the fact that this has two tube ports so I don¡¯t have to split the tubing and reduce the air pressure for both tanks. Although I have a heavy duty aerator that runs air into both tanks, I wanted a battery back up in the event of power loss. Well, yesterday it was tested. My power went out while I was at work and the aerator kept going. It was out for about 4 hours and this kept my fish alive and unharmed. It is very quiet compared to my other air pumps. The amount of air it pumps can be adjusted by pressing a button. I run this consistently on low while plugged in. When the power is removed, it automatically switches to high unless you lower it again. It is small enough to sit behind my tank. Definitely worth the money!
Low air pressure for size . Had expected higher pressure for cost and size . Also the ad showed AC/DC which is a little deceiving. It’s come with a specific charger that is only a charger not a full time AC operation.
