Really really works good
I have quite a few fish tanks. These tanks all need air stones going in them for enough oxygen. I got this pump to help with one of my smaller tank areas with two small tanks.
USB
This has USB cord to it to charge or run the air pump from. It is only a couple of feet long, so if you plan to run this off of the cord, have an extension USB cord handy.
SETTINGS
These are easy settings to do. I can have it on low settings, or have it high if I want. If I leave this running on a higher setting while plugged in, then if the power goes off, I can adjust it down to lengthen battery life.
READOUT
The read out on this unit is pretty easy to see. The different levels of air flow are a great thing to have to adapt for whatever size tank you have. Also, the modes are easy to read too.
ACCESSORIES
With the pump there are two cords- airline tubing. There are two air stones and check valves. Be sure to check the valves to be sure that they work as it is common to have check valves that don’t allow enough airflow. The tubing is okay, but I prefer to use Python air tubing as it is heavier duty and stays put on air pumps better.
PERFORMANCE
So far there are no complaints about this unit. It works well and the adjustment is just what I wanted. It allows for a lower level airflow in the smaller tanks (5 gallons)
THE BOTTOM LINE
This air pump allows for running off of the USB cord, and it will change to battery in an outage- which is what I got this for.
MY RATING
FIVE STARS. This is great as a back up air pump for power outages. I have others that I can recharge if we have an extended one and give this a rest. I am really thankful to have this as we have been having outages from time to time and it is a relief to know that the tanks will still have air at least for a while.
