I have two versions of this larger size battery backup air pump and both work well. There is a good amount of power here, I actually have 5 sponge filters running on mine and its only turned up about half way. So plenty of power!
Speaking of power, when it goes out, your pump will continue to run. This is a game changer, especially in areas that are prone to power outages.
I like the included valve bar when lets you adjust each airline individually. Also the sound is not loud at all. If you get one that is loud it may be defective or you should check the material you have it sitting on, as it could be vibrating.
I have found if you have a couple pieces of foam or sponges, you can put them under the air pump body to isolate it from the base and it will be even quieter.

We got this for our redneck live well (ice bath tub, aerator, and aquarium filter). My boys put it together and were so happy that it has the ability to charge so power outages or storms won¡¯t wreck all their work! It puts out tons of air and works really well.

I am in love with this air pump by Aqqa. I have a 110 gallon stock tank currently up (housing my fishes) while I finish building my 500 gallon pond. What I love about this air pump is that you leave it plugged in to run on the AC electrical cable. As soon as the power is cut (or goes out), this pump keeps going but the LED will show DC (instead of AC). It doesn’t skip a beat.
It also works great for traveling as you can just run it off of the stored battery power- granted, this is a bit large to travel with unless your transporting a storefront of fish. Still, it can be done if you want to do that.
Oh and there’s a carrying handle too.
The only thing I did not find on this air pump is a replacement air filter location. Or maybe it doesn’t have a replaceable air filter pad?
