The black filter sponge is reusable, while the white filter sponge is disposable. If the water quality is very poor, it is recommended to use the white filter sponge first.

Love the tank and decorations but hate the filter. It really doesn¡¯t do anything. Also wish it allowed for a heater to be used. I bought a very small one but couldn¡¯t insert it anywhere in the tank.
Man, I forgot what it.was like to have a tank with a functioning filter. So nice. This tank is quiet and the filter really keeps the tank clean. It’s been about a month and I’m still very pleased with this purchase.
This is a super nice little tank. Easy to set up and looks great. No leaks. Good quality materials used to make it, not cheap bendy plastic.

I have had a betta in a traditional bowl set up for years now. I felt bad that he didn’t have a great set up, so I ordered this nano tank and hoped for the best. Frankly, so far I have been BLOWN AWAY!!!

I have had this nano tank set up for a few weeks now… and my fish is happier than ever! (And don’t let my snails fool you, they are alive.) The little snowman/Christmas inspired plant is super cute, too. After the holidays are over, I am going to change it out. I’m no expert, but I have had fish in some sort of capacity for over 20 years, so I sort of know what I’m going– and, in my opinion, this tank is great!
In fact, at the time of ordering, it was approximately $60– and I totally think it is worth it. It gives me such joy to see my “Phil” the fish living his best life! This tank would make a great gift for a kid, teen, college student, or even a senior.
