For my first auto feeder it was very simple to use and set up. If you’re looking just for a simple and easy way to feed your fish this is the way to go! when it runs during feeding time it’s very quiet so if you have your fish setup in your bedroom you won’t even know it’s running during feeding time.
This seems to work pretty well and has a good design to it. It’s sort of large if you have a small tank, and note that it’s really designed for larger food (or larger fish). If you’re trying to use basic beta food or other small granules then this may not work as you are hoping as it will dump too much or too little. It’s easy to use overall and I love the concept. Just make sure that the execution will work for your specific needs.
My fish tank has a plastic type trim on the top edge which may have caused the feeder to sit at an angle but it still worked perfectly. Easy to set up, holds way more food than my fish and shrimp would ever need.
Easy to assemble and operate. It’s absolutely quiet. We wouldn’t even know it was running without seeing it turn. Loading of food and adjusting the food amount is simple. This works better for larger tanks with a larger flat area on the aquarium hood. The base does not swivel, which may work with smaller hoods like what would be found on a 10 gallon tank.
