I got this pump to help speed up water changes and I was not disappointed! The pump includes 3 nozzles / adapters and the middle one fit perfectly in to my python’s hose – after removing the gravel cleaning tool. I don’t use that because I have planted tank. Anyway, hook both ends up, drop in the water, dial up the flow, plug in the pump and we are off to the races! Faster water changes and no more wasting of water due to the venturi effect that normally operates the python.

The pump was silent! I couldn’t hear it at all in the water. The pump is quality and you can tell by the weight that it has that copper motor. The headspace and flow were good! I probably could have gotten the bigger pump to do the water changes even faster but this worked out great for me!

Nice pump, using it in my fountain, but it just barley fit. For a 25watt pump it’s bigger than I was expecting. I have a 4ft lift and the flow is good, it is also quiet.

    Works good

Using this for a small pond spitter. It works well with the 1/2 hose that I attached to it and the spitter. I hid this pump in the bottom of the skimmer box so it doesn¡¯t get clogged and so far so good pictures incoming when it has been operating for awhile.

Decent, small aquarium flow or to use as a lift pump for water changes.

I picked the 400 GPH model so that I could create a water filter that also serves as a type of water feature to enhance the Aesthetics of my koi pond and I couldn’t be happier. Be careful of weeds clogging it up but otherwise the flow is excellent and I couldn’t think of a better flow rate that the fish can handle without struggling.

I order this to put in the bottom of a 55gal “blue barrel” that catches rainwater from my greenhouse roof, and it pumps VERY nice from a 4 ft depth ! It’s well built, and solid, as evident by the weight of it. I ran a line of drip emitters around the inside of the greenhouse that serve the planting beds, and it provides plenty of pressure to keep them all dripping. The nice long cord is helpful too. I’m amazed at how tough this pump is, considering the price, and I hope it lasts many seasons. Since it seems to rain here constantly I am considering hooking it up to a timer so the greenhouse stays watered all the time without me needing to remember to plug it in.

We did not use this pump in the aquarium. We used it in the reservoir of a swamp cooler that operates in a hot environment of a data center that runs 24 hours a day and the ambient temperature is a hot 95 degrees and humidity is low (under 10%). This pump performed flawlessly. If it can survive an environment like this it can survive your fish tank.

Our backyard fountain works beautifully now!

This water pump is top quality and can be used for more than a fish tank. It has a strong motor. This summer, I plan on making a water fountain in my backyard. This water pump has the power I need for the design I have in mind.

This pump puts out very nice pressure, comes with 3 output fittings: 3/8¡±, 7/16¡±, and 1/2¡± accommodating 1/2¡±, 5/8¡±, and 3/4¡± inside diameter tubing.
Our fountain is about 4 gallons with an 1 foot lift and so this pump was simply too powerful for it. We want just a trickle of water for a serene effect.
I¡¯m giving it an 4 rating because there isn¡¯t any filter material included, but one could easily add some poly fill, or similar to the input cage if needed.

The AQQA Aquarium Submersible Water Pump is an affordable option for hobbyists looking for a quiet, adjustable water pump for smaller freshwater aquariums. The compact size, ease of use, and multiple nozzle attachments are all positive features. However, the limited flow rate, potential durability issues, and lack of brand recognition are factors to consider. If you have a large aquarium, need a very strong pump, or prioritize long-lasting equipment, you might want to explore other options with a higher flow rate and established brand reputation.

We don¡¯t have fish, but we do have a screened in patio with a tower fan.

Using this, we built a homemade evaporative cooler! We just thought this up and for about $30, cold air from a pretty good fan.

The pump is silent, sitting in a foam cooler that¡¯s our water stage. Doesn¡¯t have to run but a few hours a day, so should last for a good while.

While not the intended use, perhaps, seems to work great!

I got this pump for circulating water from a saltwater bait tank through a 5-gallon DIY canister filter. The pump runs smoothly and draws around 27W according to my watt meter. It¡¯s been running 24×7 for around 2 weeks without issues. The only complaint I have is with the 4 suction-cup feet. The suction is adequately strong for holding the pump to the bottom of the tank. But the slightest movement of the connecting hose causes the pump to detach from some of the suction cups. This is a minor nuisance but is a bit irritating when it happens over and over.

The only reason I ordered this pump was because it met my specifications/requirements AND said it came with nearly 6 feet of tubing. That tubing was nowhere to be found in my package when it arrived, making the project I was going to do not work; at least today. The adapters for fitting on tubes are meant for quite large tubes, so I guess I’ll have to take them to my local hardware store and see which tubing I want to buy, since this didn’t come with it.

Minus one star for it being loud and vibrating the deck too much. Minus another star for the lack of tubing which the product was said to include. The unit is quite large, too…larger than I was hoping for.

Overall, not impressed. I want my tubing!

The submersible pump was very effective transferring the water collected in a bucket from an air conditioner outlet at the side of the house to irrigate potted plants in our yard. The pump comes with three attachments (0.51, 0.62 and 0.74 inch) that fit different size hoses, including the garden hose that I connected with a hose repair fitting. The pump can be adjusted to transfer water and different flow rates and maximum lift. At the highest setting, the pump was able to easily push water to over 5 feet high. So far, this pump eliminates the need to carry the bucket and hand water plants from all the water generated (up to 15 gallons a day) from our air conditioner unit.

  17. ToCPap

Acquired for a 3D-printed hydroponics tower requiring a 6ft lift, this submersible pump excels. It provides the necessary lift effortlessly, operates quietly, and is notably efficient. It meets the demands of my project perfectly.

For changing water or for moving a tank, it is always difficult to remove the water. This pump makes the chore a breeze. It pumps the water out of the tank very fast. It’s large enough to use on a bigger tank and yet would still fit in a smaller 5 gallon tank.

Made from high impact plastic, I would expect it to give many years of service.

We replaced an older pump that wore out with this new AQQA aquarium water pump in an outdoor garden water feature with fresh water mangroves. The pump does a good job or recirculating water in the 80 gallon basin and pumping a small stream up over the base of the container holding the mangrove. We adjusted the flow in the medium range and this provides a perfectly constant state of moisture to the base of the plant.

We enclosed the pump in an aquarium mesh bag to enhance the filtering capabilities and provide easy maintenance when cleaning out leaves and debris that can interrupt the flow.

We control the pump with an outdoor smart switch, coming on at dawn and turning off at dusk, and find this small pump seems does a fine job of keeping that water flowing during daylight hours. The low cost makes it a great value.

I got this pump for my hydroponics systems, and it is perfect for that! It has a lot of power, and lift. The flow rate is adjustable, and it comes with three sizes of adapter, so its should fit any system that you have. The suction feet aren’t all that and a bag of chips, but they do the job, and the suction feet on these pumps are always a little problematical, anyway.
But for power and lift, you can’t go wrong with this pump!

  21. Daron

I think this AQQA submersible little water pump is fantastic! It can move 528 gallons per hour and has 25W. I’m using it to keep mosquitoes out and to oxygenate my horse trough water. It’s very quiet and has been doing a great job! I’ve had no more mosquito larva, and it doesn’t bother the horse at all. I put a mesh bag over the water entry area to keep out the leaves and hay pieces to help protect my pump and just rinse it off when I change out the water (about every 1-2 weeks).
I wish I’d gotten this pump years ago; it’s made such a great difference. If I get any more animals or put in a fish pond, I’m definitely buying another one of these; I highly recommend it for moving water in any small-medium size feature.

  22. Dom G.

This little pump works great in my natural saltwater aquarium.

  23. FERNANDO

This pump looks well made and works nicely. I am using it for an outdoor fountain that needed the water pump replaced. This one does the job nicely. The flow is adjustable which allows for customizing the fountain effect. It seems durable and should last a long time.

  24. Laura ~v~

I use this for water changes on my 100 gallon stock tank. Fast and efficient. Just had to buy the hose but comes with multiple adapters and a good, steady speed. I recommend.

AQQA Aquarium Submersible Water Pump, 800GPH 45W Adjustable Ultra Quiet Fountain and here I thought most of these pumps are exactly the same size I didn’t really look at the size before ordering it ’cause it looks just like all the rest but when I opened the package I said wow what Biggasspump this thing is huge and I’m sure it works just as advertised there’s too many other people that have reviewed it for this to be telling a lie buy this pump it’s a great pump it’s just big

  26. Ashlee

This pump moves a good amount of water for its size, making it perfect for aquariums and small outdoor water features. This pump has a quiet operation and is very efficient. Overall, this exceeds expectations and performs perfectly.
