For everyone thinking this is a cleaning “filter” — it’s not that kind of thing! It’s to build and keep a healthy biological environment, keeping your tank more stable, not to clean the water. We have these in almost all of our tanks instead of sponge filters and love them – everything from 30 gallon community tanks to 180 gallons predator tanks.

Was skeptical about these filters but after 3 weeks I have to say I’m impressed. It has helped to stabilize nitrates in a 75 gallon that has no live plants(ciclids). Little large but was able to hide it behind some driftwood and rocks. Cleaning is simply pulling the bottom and rinsing the foam in tank water, haven’t had any algae buildup or anything so far. All you need to run it is an airline so setup is super easy.
